Manchester City marked their return from the Club World Cup with a stunning 3-1 comeback against Everton in the Premier League.

Falling behind due to a goal by ex-City player Jack Harrison, City turned the game around in the second half. Phil Foden leveled the score before Julian Alvarez’s penalty put City ahead. Bernardo Silva capitalized on a Pickford error to seal the victory. The win puts City in fourth, five points behind leaders Liverpool, with a game in hand.

Elsewhere, Chelsea secured a late 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace thanks to Noni Madueke’s penalty. Wolves cruised to a 4-1 win over Brentford, with Hwang Hee-chan netting twice. Everton suffered their second consecutive defeat, leaving them just above the relegation zone after a tough run.

Pep Guardiola praised City’s resilience after a difficult spell, emphasizing the team’s responsibility to maintain high standards. Mauricio Pochettino stressed the need for consistency as Chelsea aims to bounce back from recent setbacks in the Premier League. Brentford faced their fourth straight defeat, increasing their relegation concerns.
