Indian cricket witnessed a historic moment as teenage prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi rewrote the record books with a sensational performance in domestic one-day cricket. The 14-year-old batter became the youngest player in history to score a century in men’s List A cricket, achieving the feat during the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Representing Bihar, Suryavanshi smashed a breathtaking 190 off just 84 balls, reaching his century in only 36 deliveries—one of the fastest hundreds ever recorded in List A cricket. His explosive innings included a flurry of boundaries and towering sixes, leaving bowlers helpless and spectators stunned.
During the knock, Suryavanshi also set another major world record by registering the fastest 150 in List A cricket, surpassing the previous benchmark held by former South African star AB de Villiers. His extraordinary innings powered Bihar to a massive 574-run total, the highest team score in the history of 50-over cricket.

Suryavanshi had already represented India Under-19
Suryavanshi, aged just 14, became the youngest ever centurion in men’s T20 cricket when he cracked 101 off 38 balls for Rajasthan Royals (RR) against Gujarat Titans in Jaipur in IPL 2025. His hundred, which came off 35 deliveries, was the second-fastest in IPL history.
On debut, Suryavanshi hit his first ball for six on his way to an innings of 34 from 20 balls. He made history at the IPL 2025 auction when, at 13 years old, he became the youngest to earn an IPL deal. It was RR who bagged him for INR 1.1 crore.

By then, he had already represented India Under-19, for whom he had cracked a 58-ball century in a four-day game against Australia Under-19. He was also part of the side which reached the final of the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup in 2024, where he scored 176 runs at an average of 44.
Cricket experts and former players have hailed the innings as one of the most remarkable performances by a young cricketer, highlighting his composure, power-hitting ability, and maturity far beyond his age.

Already regarded as one of India’s brightest batting prospects, Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s record-breaking display has further strengthened his reputation as a future star of world cricket.
