In October 2024, Mushfiqur became the first Bangladeshi to score 6,000 runs in Test cricket, during a match against South Africa. He achieved this landmark in his 93rd Test match, finishing the innings not out on 31.

In 2025, Mushfiqur became the first Bangladeshi cricketer to play 100 Test matches. Over this long career, he has proved his fitness, skill, and dedication at the highest level of the game.
