Tony Kroos and Thomas Muller are named in Germany’s 27-men provisional squad for the Euro 2024, which will be held in Germany this year.

The hosts are looking to win the Euro this year. Julian Nagelsmann’s side mixed up with star players from the European top five leagues and clubs.

The biggest surprise in the squad did not include Mats Hummels, despite excellent performances in recent times and helped his club Borussia Dortmund to take them to the Champions League final.

Dortmund stars Julian Brandt, Niklas Sule and Karim Adeyemi missed out on a place in the 27-men squad, while Nico Schlotterbeck and Niclas Fullkrug confirmed their place in the squad and Serge Gnabry and Timo Werner are both out due to injury.

Another surprising thing in the squad is the inclusion of a fourth Goalkeeper, Alexander Nubel who plays for Stuttgart, who got his first call-up in the senior Side. Though, Nagelsmann have three other goalkeepers Manuel Neuer, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Oliver Baumann.

As the hosts, Germany begins their Euro 2024 mission in the opening game against Scotland on June 14 and before that, they have to submit the final 26-man squad on June 7.
