Nigeria holds the most U-17 World Cup titles, having won the tournament five times (1985, 1993, 2007, 2013, 2015). Following Nigeria is Brazil with four titles (1997, 1999, 2003, 2019).

Tournament founded under a different name in 1985, later known as U-17 from 1991. Nigeria’s five titles make them the most successful nation in the history of this age-group competition.

While Nigeria leads by titles, nations like Brazil continue to remain highly competitive, and new winners continue to emerge. Even after reaching the semifinals six times, Argentina has never made it to the final of the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
